Overview

The first thing that comes to mind when we hear “Ibiza” is partying! That’s because nightlife in Ibiza is world-famous for its clubs, partying styles and everything related to clubbing.

In Ibiza, the most visited places for nightlife are the city of San Antonio (Sant Antoni de Portmany), Platja d´en Bossa and of course Ibiza Town. As for Ibiza city, you can party in clubs, in party boats, in the Old Town at the square of the Old fortifications (Baluard de Santa Llúcia) and even right down the street. We encountered that just as we were walking along the road at the port. A big screen was set up at the end of the street and loud music got a lot of people in party mode (it was only 6 p.m.!)

Best time for nightlife in Ibiza

Strolling and refreshing in Ibiza at night, before heading to the clubs!

As a general rule, it is said that clubbing activities are at full capacity from May to October. Of course, the number of events with world-famous DJs varies between these months. Depending on what everyone wants, there’s no limit to the choices!

We did visit Ibiza this year, from the end of May to the beginning of June. Of course, we went to Ibiza town and stayed for two days. During these months, the weather is nice, not too hot and it’s still possible to find reasonable prices and no big crowds as opposed to July and August. The same logic goes for partying.

Getting around

It seems like moving around in the city in search of clubs or going there is the least thing to worry about, but we´re going to give some pointers about that too:

  • Buses lines that go through the city: Lines 11, 12A, 12B and N08 (night bus). During summer there are also three Disco-bus lines available, that connect Ibiza Town with other hot spots for clubbing like Sant Antoni de Portmany.
  • Taking a taxi is a fast solution, they are easy to find or call them directly on the web.
  • Going to clubs with a bicycle could be practical and strangely fun at the same time. But that requires responsible drinking as well, just like with a car, something to keep in mind.
  • Walking around in the city is the last solution left & it never goes out of style. 🙂

Where to go clubbing

We’ll concentrate here only on Ibiza Town (In other cities on the island it’s also possible to enjoy partying like crazy). There you can find the simplest bar to freshen up and the most sophisticated to enjoy the craziness of clubbing. Let´s say that the only hard thing, will be to choose. Platja d´en Bossa is the dominant clubbing area in Ibiza Town and its surroundings, with legendary clubs like Ushuaia at the beach. Meanwhile, the oldest party club on the island is right in Town, Pacha, founded in the year 1973. There are also many others, but we wanna leave something to get curious about.

The crowd warms up before the party starts!!

As we mentioned, loud music can be enjoyed right down the street, where small scenes are set up and club music is played. Sailing and partying are two things that you can easily enjoy at the same time in Ibiza, just pick your favourite party boat! As for us, we decided to go to Pacha, to explore what was the fuss about all these years. We can say that the atmosphere was quite electrifying, the music at its best and a lot of people came to get a piece of the craziness. The drinks were great for our liking even though a little pricey but considering being in Ibiza, no regrets there. But we have to admit that we imagined partying in Ibiza being a little different, maybe because we´re not teenagers or students anymore. But nonetheless, we did everything to try to blend in in the end, important is to enjoy the event and make memories from it with friends, family or your soulmates!

Last remarks

Last, but not least, do check as soon as possible for reservations at your favourite place. It´s not sure that you can get to enter the clubs by just popping in, because of the huge interested crowds. At least for us, it worked well this way.

We hope that our guidance will help you enjoy clubbing in Ibiza Town the way it is meant! If you have any questions, drop them in the comments below and we’ll be more than happy to answer! Happy Partying!
